So, why am I The Crazy Affiliate?
When I was working, doing all the off-duties and overtime, there always seemed to be more week left over, than there was pay. With four kids, two cars, a mortgage, and not to mention all the things that four kids need, we constantly came up short. As a retired law enforcement sergeant, I found myself in a similar boat. Living on my retirement money and social security (both fixed amounts) just doesn’t cut it. So I started searching for additional ways to make money.
This journey began when I wanted to promote a few companies off of ClickBank and being the person that I am, I wanted to do my due diligence for the two companies I selected.
Well, that opened a rabbit hole. Next thing I knew, I would spend months and months researching thousands of company affiliate programs so that I could put them into an eBook. I already had a few books on Amazon, so I thought, ‘what the heck’. BUT, I documented so many that I had to put them into a spreadsheet. Then the sheet became more sheets and the next thing I knew, I had over 50 tabs with different types of niches. Researching each of these companies some were eliminated right off the bat. Either I couldn’t find enough information on their program or, after reading all those “terms and conditions”, I thought there was no way I would get involved.
Once the lists got so large, I decided that I wanted to share my research and passion with others (and get paid for it too). The payment part was an afterthought (I know, I’m a little slow sometimes). It didn’t dawn on me that other people also get confused as to which companies to promote. However, once that light bulb went off, I decided to share my research. So I had to go back through all the companies and get the links to their affiliate programs which of course, caused me to have to tweak some of the listings.
All the listings are as accurate as they can be, but as you know, business do things at the most inopportune times. Fortunately, when you go to apply, you have the ability to see if the info is still correct and make your final decision then.
